I saw Jesus Last Night
When I saw him, it was while I was attending Vacation Bible School for the second time in my life.
He was wearing work clothes. He was sweaty and a little dirty from his day’s labor at his regular job. He moved rapidly from one task to the next working to help support the VBS program.
I could tell it was Jesus because of the smile on his face.
He said that this was the eighth or ninth time he had volunteered and that he looked forward to this one event all year long. As I spoke with him, he looked around at the kids gathering in the sanctuary for the puppet show and I swear his smile got even larger.
He was tired from his day’s work already but he wouldn’t let it slow him down. He just kept plugging away at his tasks.
He was humble.
He was serving others.
He was loving.
He was kind.
He was at peace.
He was joyful.
Okay, maybe he wasn’t Jesus in the flesh . . . but he sure acted like Him!

Acts 4:13. Your life’s a book before their eyes
They’re reading it through and through
Say, does it point them to the skies
Do others see Jesus in you?
