Verse of the Day (Page 230)

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with signing.

² I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.    For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

¹ The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  ² He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:  He leadeth me beside the still waters.  ³ He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:  ¹² For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

²² Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

²¹ Death and life are in the power of the tongue:  and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid:  for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

²³ Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

¹ The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  the Lord is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?
