Verse of the Day (Page 228)

² Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is His name:  ³ Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.

What?  Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price:  therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

¹² Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:  he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?   By taking heed thereto according to thy word.    Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

³ To do justice and judgement is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

With my whole heart have I sought thee:  O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things..

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:  but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

And he said unto me.  My grace is sufficient for thee:  for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
