Verse of the Day (Page 223)

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.   For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, said the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose spirits are covered.  Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.  

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

The just man walketh in his integrity:  his children are blessed after him.

Better is little with the fear of the Lord than with great treasure and trouble therewith.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower:  the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

² Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

² Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:  but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

¹Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:  because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
