Verse of the Day (Page 221)

³Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.  

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

¹¹ But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice:  let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:  let the also that love thy name be joyful in thee.  ¹² For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.    For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:  for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.    So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.   Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reprove.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.  For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
