For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at things which are seen, but at things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The Lord is night unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
