He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: But a good word maketh it glad.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law,

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afrad, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
