The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation and my high tower.

Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: But a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; the women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation’ but is passed from death unto life.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
