So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affectations and lusts.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon rock:

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

“I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.”

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth our her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
