Highland Park Baptist Church was organized in 1913. The vision for the church has always been to be a spiritual lighthouse in the community and remains the same today.

Highland Park Baptist Church worships to lift up high the name of Jesus and let Him meet the needs of everyone who attends our services. We provide a nursery during Sunday School and worship and have Bible Buddies for the 4 year olds through second grade following Children's Church.We offer a variety of ministries and our goal is to provide ministries to help bring people into a close and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. We believe God's Word is the inspired Word of God. We believe the Bible is fundamental to Christian growth and Outreach.

CHURCH MINISTRIES
Highland Park Baptist Church offers many different ministries to it's membership.
The goal of each ministry is to Glorify the Savior and to have programs available
to everyone to give each member an opportunity to serve. These ministries are
an important tool to bring people closer to the Lord and to one another.

BROTHERHOOD
A Men's organization designed to help men become the Spiritual leaders God intends. Some of their ministry involves community service and meeting the needs of the Church Family.
The Brotherhood is also involved in Missions and has started a Disaster Relief Team under the direction of Bruce Moore.The Brotherhood meets once a month for a Meal and Meeting.
All men and young men are invited to attend.

HOMEBOUND TEAM
The Homebound Ministry ministers to the needs of the elderly homebound members of our church, as well as to members who are not able to come due to illness. Prayer, Home Bible Study and music are a part of this ministry.

W.M.U.
W.M.U. meets the first Sunday of each month at 5 p.m. to focus on missions and ends with prayer for all of our missionaries. W.M.U. has assisted in an Annual Women's Retreat that encourages women to fellowship together while help them grow in spiritual maturity

CREATIVE MINISTRY
Creative Ministry uses Drama to express our beliefs in God and to witness to our
community using God centered material. Skits, as well as stage productions enhance the worship experience at Highland Park Baptist Chruch. This ministry is under the leadership of Brenda Aikins

BLACK LIGHT PUPPETS
An energetic, musical ministry provided by our Youth and under the direction of Jane Dunlap, provides Puppet programs for the Church, V.B.S., Nursing Homes, Missions Trips and other churches.

MIME MINISTRY
Under the Direction of Helen Garrison, this ministry uses Mimes to enhance our Worship Services.

A.W.A.N.A.
Meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. and is under the leadership of our Youth Pastor, Ryan Hyers. A Bible entered program for Children.
